Jeffrey P. Kerrane, of counsel to Gravely & Pearson, L.L.P., has recovered over $100 million for his clients. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from UCLA and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Diego School of Law, and has studied abroad in Rhodes and Madrid. Mr. Kerrane is licensed to practice in Texas, California, Colorado and Nevada. Mr. Kerrane is the managing partner of Benson, Kerrane, Storz, & Nelson, P.C.
Mr. Kerrane brings more than 19 years of experience in residential construction defect litigation to Gravely & Pearson. He has authored articles on construction defect and community association law and has been published in journals such as the Santa Clara Law Review, Nevada Lawyer, California Regulatory Law Reporter, Condo Management Magazine, Recharger Magazine, and local publications of the Community Associations Institute (CAI). He is a frequent speaker on construction defect and community association law topics, and has lectured for CAI, the Nevada Ombudsman’s Office for Community Associations, the Nevada Real Estate Division, the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors, and California Association of Community Managers. Jeff is a member of CAI’s Legislative Action Committee which furthers legislation in support of homeowners and community associations. In 2012, Mr. Kerrane joined a state bar delegation to visit Cuba for the purpose of researching the country’s legal system.
In 2013, Mr. Kerrane was named People’s Choice for Best Overall Litigator by Law Week. Mr. Kerrane is AV Preeminent Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell in legal ability and general ethical standards, which is the highest rating they offer, and he is also rated 10 out of 10 Superb by AVVO. Mr. Kerrane has been selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers Magazine for 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, and was included in their Top 100 list for 2014. Mr. Kerrane was also named to the list of Top Lawyers by 5280 Magazine. Mr. Kerrane received awards for his pro bono work in 2002 and 2003 from Clark County Legal Services and was named the 2003 Children’s Pro Bono Attorney of the Year. Mr. Kerrane regularly volunteers and fundraises for charities that provide housing and legal assistance to low income families. In 2010 he was a member of the Sustainability Task Force for Broomfield County which was charged with rewriting the Sustainability section of the country’s Master Plan. He received an American Jurisprudence Award in Ethics in 1994.
